The visitable area of the mines is divided into two sites: the first, which is ancient, offers a rare glimpse into primitive excavation techniques; it is one of the few places in the world where you can observe droplets of native mercury seeping from the rock wall. The second site, excavated with the first rudimentary pneumatic hammers in the early 1900s and equipped with a rail system for transporting carts, serves as a significant testament to the industrial archaeology of the area. Inside, various mineralogical rarities have also been discovered. The route is easy and short, making it suitable for children and families.

Duration of the visit: Approximately 40 minutes.
Minimum age for independent visits: 4 years.
For children under 4 years: It is recommended to use a special backpack available for rent at the Grotta Antro del Corchia.
Recommended clothing: Shoes with rubber soles, sweatshirt, sweater.

During the summer season, Corchia Park offers guided excursions led by environmental guides, allowing even those unfamiliar with the area to enjoy a day of walking amidst stunning landscapes and greenery. This short trek lasts approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes and includes visits to the fortified trenches dug into the Corchia by the Alpini stationed along the Gothic Line during 1944-45. It is a light yet invigorating hike through majestic landscapes and remnants of the recent history of the mountains.

It is mandatory to bring at least one and a half liters of water per person.

Reservation is required.
Duration of the hike: Approximately 4:30 hours.
Minimum age for independent visits: 5 years.
Mandatory clothing: Hiking shoes.
Recommended attire: Sunglasses and/or hat.

Participation is not advised for individuals with mobility issues or acute heart conditions.

In Levigliani, a true pioneering laboratory for the successful management of common goods has developed. Even today, the village’s resources are managed by a commission of common goods, a unique body made up of the village’s residents. The museum “Lavorare Liberi” offers visitors a testimony to this economic and social history through objects, documents, and firsthand accounts. Meanwhile, the “Museo della Pietra Piegata” provides an overview of marble processing throughout the centuries, showcasing everything from rough objects to finely inlaid works, and from common artifacts to sacred pieces.

Please note that there are stairs in both museum visit routes.

Combined Ticket for both museums.
Duration of the visit: Approximately 40 minutes.
Independent visit allowed.
